Location: Sant'Angelo in Pontano is in Le Marche, central Italy, Pronounced 'Markay' the region lies on the eastern side, between the Adriatic sea and the Apennine mountains. It's Italy's best kept secret, hardly touched by tourism. The town is medieval in style with windy cobbled streets (not ideal for Prada heels) and has basic shops, bars - excellent for a cappuccino first thing in the morning as well as a refreshing glass of local wine in the evening - and restaurants serving typical local Italian dishes.
Apartments: There are two apartments available in the converted Monastery, the 'penthouse' has ADSL connection and 2 bedrooms, (1 twin room 1 double) the second apartment has 3 bedrooms, (1 twin, 2 doubles) Both have kitchens, dishwasher, bathrooms, views of the surrounding countryside and are tastefully furnished.
